SOG PowerAssist Multi-Tool Review
Ford or Chevy, Apple or Microsoft, Leatherman or SOG? This is the great debate, and I don’t plan to take either side, as both tools are quality products. It comes down to personal preference. Some guys would only own SOG while others would only own Leatherman. That’s fine, everyone has their own opinion and everyone knows what opinions are like…..
In our other reviews, you will see that some multi-tools are designed more for tactical purposes, and others being for everyday carry. The SOG PowerAssist, on the other hand, is a beautiful blend of both worlds. This PowerAssist comes with a blasting cap crimper as well as the everyday tools. No, it doesn’t have a c4 punch, but it has 22 other extremely useful tools. The SOG also has a piece of technology not widely shared by other multi-tools, the assisted opening. Blades seemingly fly open when initially engaged almost as if it is an assisted opening knife. Also, the PowerAssist comes with SOG proprietary technology of Compound Leverage. This is the use of multiple pivot points on the multi-tool to generate greater handle travel in relation to the pliers. The biggest selling point for us, as of this review anyway, is the selling price. The SOG can be had a tremendous discount of up to 50% OFF!

Who is the SOG PowerAssist for?
The person who is interested in a cross between a tactical and everyday carry multi-tool. Although it should be noted that the PowerAssist is heavier at 9.6 oz and longer at 4.6 inches compared to its competitors. The added weight is due to the carrying of additional tools 22 compared to maybe 16, as well as easy opening assist technology. Nonetheless, if you want to be prepared just as well for the tactical field as just roaming around your house, the SOG is a perfect fit. Also, the SOG is for anyone looking for a great deal, as this is usually priced at a huge discount.
SOG PowerAssist Multi-Tool Owner Reviews
With over 380 Reviews on Amazon, the PowerAssist has been seen by more than enough hands to give a solid review. The outcome of those reviews is 4.4 out of 5. The top complaint about the PowerAssist is that it is bigger and bulkier than its counterparts and lacks a saw which most multi-tools now come with. I have also seen quite a few issues with SOG customer service when it comes to ordering replacement parts/blade. Read Owner Reviews Here⇒
